Workshop on NextGEN Talent Development: A key to the success of any organization is having a pool of talent. Employees are the backbone of any successful organization, providing the vital skills and expertise needed to take a business to the next level.
Our Workshop on NextGEN Talent Development is a one-day workshop for managers led by an international trainer. It helps managers learn to design individual development plans for each member of the team. Through practical exercises, managers develop the ability to assess and provide feedback to employees. They learn about competencies, which are skills and qualities needed for success. By the end, managers gain confidence in their ability to assess and develop talent within their teams.
Learning Outcomes

- Understand the fundamental concepts and purpose of assessment and development.
- Identify and define relevant competencies aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
- Develop the skills to design clear and measurable behavior indicators and behaviorally anchored rating scales (BARS) for assessing competencies.
- Learn effective techniques for providing constructive feedback, and creating individual development plans (IDPs)for talent assessment and development within the organization.

Module 1: Introduction to assessment and development
- Describe the key characteristics.

- Explain the meaning of the assessment development center.
Module 2: Setting the Foundation
- Get relevant data from job analysis.
- Explain the meaning of competency.
- Explore the purpose, context, and business objectives.
Module 3: Design
- Explain the types of competencies.
- Describe the elements of competencies.
- Build competency and assessment matrix.
- Develop Behavioral Anchored Rating Scales (BARS).
- Create clear and measurable Behavior Indicators (BIs).
- Explain the common types of tests and tools, and choose the relevant ones as per the profiles.
Module 4: Assessment
- Apply STAR technique.
- Recognize and mitigate interviewer biases.
- Assess the individuals as per the instructions.
- Design relevant behavioral interview questions.
- Describe the characteristics of a good Interview.
- Differentiate between Structured and Unstructured interviews.
- Master behavioral event interviews (BEI) and competency-based Interviews.
Module 5: Development
- Give feedback using SBI Model.
- Make Individual Development Plans (IDP).
Module 6: Practice
- Design ADCs to reinforce learning and summarize key takeaways from the workshop.
